Welcome to Hudumia, an online marketplace operated by Hudumia On Demand Limited (“Hudumia,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hudumia platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (“Services”).
By accessing or using Hudumia, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
“Customer” – Any user requesting or booking a service through the Hudumia platform.
“Service Provider” – Any individual or business offering services through Hudumia.
“User” – Any person using the platform, whether Customer or Service Provider.
“Booking” – A confirmed request for services through the platform.
“Platform” – Hudumia’s website, mobile application, APIs, software, and communication channels.
Hudumia is a digital marketplace that connects Customers with independent Service Providers.
Hudumia:
Does not employ Service Providers,
Does not directly provide services, and
Is not responsible for the actual work performed by Service Providers.
Service Providers operate as independent contractors unless specifically stated otherwise.
To use Hudumia, you must:
Be at least 18 years old,
Provide accurate and verifiable personal information,
Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements,
Comply with local laws in your country of residence.
Service Providers must additionally:
Meet skill, license, or certification requirements where applicable,
Pass identity verification and screening processes.
Users must create an account and keep their information accurate. You agree to:
Maintain confidentiality of login credentials,
Notify Hudumia immediately of unauthorized access,
Not share your account with any third party.
Hudumia may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Customers place service requests through the platform.
Hudumia matches the request to an available Service Provider.
A booking is confirmed once accepted by a Service Provider and/or payment is authorized.
Service Providers are solely responsible for:
Quality of work,
Timeliness,
Tools, equipment, and materials,
Compliance with laws and safety standards.
Hudumia does not guarantee outcomes or service performance.
Customers agree to:
Provide accurate service details,
Ensure safe access to service locations,
Treat Service Providers with respect,
Not request illegal or dangerous tasks.
Hudumia accepts:
Mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN, etc.),
Card payments,
Hudumia Wallet (where applicable).
Service fees include:
Service Provider charges,
Hudumia platform fees,
Taxes where applicable.
Customers may cancel before a Service Provider starts travelling or working.
Late cancellations may attract charges or partial deductions.
Service Providers may cancel only for valid reasons such as safety issues or unavailability.
Refunds are issued when:
A service is not delivered,
A Service Provider fails to show up,
Payment errors occur.
Refunds are not guaranteed for services already performed.
Hudumia reserves the right to review and approve all refund requests.
By offering services on Hudumia, providers agree that they:
Are independent contractors, not employees,
Set their own working schedules,
Provide accurate information about skills and pricing,
Maintain required licenses and certifications,
Are responsible for taxes, insurance, and statutory obligations,
Will not engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or misconduct.
Hudumia may remove Service Providers for poor performance, low ratings, or policy violations.
Customers may leave feedback after service completion.
Hudumia may publish, moderate, or remove reviews that:
Are abusive or fraudulent,
Contain personal attacks,
Include false accusations.
Service Providers cannot manipulate ratings.
Users must not:
Use the platform for illegal activities,
Misuse or hack the system,
Harass or harm other users,
Circumvent the platform to avoid payment (“off-platform transactions”),
Create multiple or fraudulent accounts.
Violations may lead to permanent account banning and legal action.
Hudumia processes user data in compliance with:
The Kenya Data Protection Act 2019,
Nigeria NDPR,
South Africa POPIA,
Other applicable African data protection laws.
We collect personal information solely to:
Provide services,
Verify identity,
Process payments,
Improve platform performance.
Hudumia does not sell user data to third parties.

Hudumia owns all rights to:
The platform,
Logos, trademarks, designs,
Software, algorithms, and content.
Users may not copy, modify, or redistribute platform materials without written consent.
Hudumia is not liable for:
Acts or omissions of independent Service Providers,
Damages, theft, or losses arising from services,
Injuries or accidents occurring during service delivery,
Delays or cancellations beyond our control.
Users agree to use the platform at their own risk.
Hudumia’s maximum liability is limited to the total fees paid for the disputed transaction.
Users agree to indemnify and hold Hudumia harmless from:
Claims arising from misuse of the platform,
Violations of these terms,
Damages caused to third parties.
Hudumia may suspend or terminate accounts for:
Fraud,
Misconduct,
Safety concerns,
Legal violations,
Non-compliance with these Terms.
Users may delete their account at any time.
Hudumia may update these Terms occasionally.
We will notify users of material updates through:
Email,
Platform notifications, or
Website announcements.
Continued use after changes means acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Hudumia operates and where the service is delivered, including but not limited to:
Kenyan law,
Nigerian law,
South African law,
Other applicable African jurisdictions.
Disputes will be resolved through:
Internal dispute resolution,
Mediation,
Arbitration (if necessary).
Users may also seek relief through competent courts where required by law.
