These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hudumia platform (web and mobile application), operated by Hudumia On Demand Limited, a company incorporated in Kenya. By using the Hudumia platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the platform.

Hudumia is a marketplace that connects users needing assistance with skilled freelancers offering services such as cleaning, handyman work, deliveries, moving, and furniture assembly. Hudumia is not the direct employer of service providers. All service engagements are independently contracted between users and taskers.

5. Payments and Fees

All payments are processed securely through the Hudumia platform. Hudumia may charge a service fee for platform usage, which will be clearly indicated during booking. Service providers are responsible for any applicable income tax as required by Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). Please note that the fees charged does not include any materials or governement fees which will be paid by the customer in addition to service fees.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations by customers or service providers must be made in accordance with Hudumia’s cancellation policy as set out on the platform. Refunds will only be issued if:

Hudumia collects and processes personal data in accordance with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019. By using the platform, you consent to our Privacy Policy and the collection, storage, and use of your data as outlined therein.

All content on the platform, including logos, text, icons, and software, is the property of Hudumia On Demand Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute content without prior written permission.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between users should be resolved amicably where possible. Where disputes cannot be resolved, users may contact Hudumia support for mediation. If further escalation is necessary, disputes shall be governed by the laws of Kenya and settled in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Limitation of Liability

Hudumia acts only as an intermediary platform. We are not responsible for:

12. Termination

Hudumia may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. You may also deactivate your account by contacting support.

13. Changes to Terms

Hudumia reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the platform and your continued use of the service will constitute acceptance of the changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
